During the sale which is between June 15, 2010 and August 15, 2010 most of the big department stores and shopping malls offer discounts of 10 to 70 percent.
The shopping streets in these participating cities allow you to check out all sorts of unique and exotic items. The sales are applicable on all items from fashion accessories to home décor and everything in between, including discounts on hotels and tourist services. There are even free gifts, vouchers, and lucky draw prizes.
The Amazing Thailand Grand Sale kicks off at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center where the major promoters feature their finest goods and services. Fortunately, most of Bangkok’s major shopping malls and stores are located close to the city’s BTS skytrain or MRT metro transportation stations, making it convenient to hop from one shop to the next.
These main shopping districts and streets in Bangkok are situated along Ploenchit and Sukhumvit roads as well as around Siam Square. Many of the department stores have direct bridge linking them to Skytrain stations, including Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery Centre, Siam Centre, Central World Plaza, Erawan Bangkok, Amarin Plaza, Gaysorn, Central Chidlom, Home Pro Plus, Robinson Department Store, The Emporium and The Mall Department Store.
