Siam Retail Development Co., Ltd, the operator of Fashion Island, is set to take Bangkok by storm with Fashion Island’s promising new look – ‘The Joy of Shopping’.
The entire entertainment and recreation facilities will be upgraded to cater for today’s lifestyle. The total cost of the ‘grand transformation’ is set to be THB600 million.
Fashion Island’s transformation includes a refreshing colourful logo, the use of a minimal modern theme for interior and exterior design to reflect a bright, trendy and spacious shopping mall, well-organised commercial zoning and the addition of lifestyle outlets such as restaurants, high street brands, shops, fashion, health and beauty, IT, and many more.
Mr. Prasert Sriuranpong, Executive Director of Siam Retail Development Co., Ltd said:
‘This splendid make-over aims to re-establish Fashion Island as the ‘Modern Family’s Island’ – a centre of happiness, trendy convenience and all-inclusive services. It is the best and largest urban ‘One Stop Shopping Center’ ever offered to Ram-Indra residents.
The concept behind the transformation is based around ‘joy’, as Mr. Sriuranpong explained:
‘Joy’ is the key word for the brand new Fashion Island as reflected in many commercial zones, for instance, The Joy of Fashion, The Joy of Beauty, The Joy of Digital, The Joy of Living, The Joy of Dining and The Joy of Education.’
The transformed ‘One Stop Shoping Centre’ will offer more events to its customers in a bid ‘to stimulate consumer purchase’.
‘At present, on an average weekday, there are 60,000 customers visiting our mall and 80,000 people at the weekend. The circulation number will double during the special activities period. To stimulate consumer purchase at the department store and rental shops in the mall, 80 percent of our activities will be reserved for event marketing with the remaining 20 percent going to sales promotion events.
‘In addition, we will be organizing 9 lifestyle activities throughout the year to deliver new customer experiences whilst focusing on CRM strategy to strengthen the relationship with over 5,000 existing customers via ‘The Island Card’ – added the Executive Director of Siam Retail Development Co., Ltd.
The first event to kick off at the revamped Fashion Island is Fashion Island ‘Motor Show 2009 – Driving to the Groove’ during September 11-20, 2009. Spectacular cars from leading motor companies will be there for car lovers to enjoy as well as car accessories and maintenance kits plus special offers at the event only and a mini-concert by Groove Riders and ETC.
