Mandarin Oriental Bangkok in collaboration with Gourmet One and Beverage One will once again, for the second year running, stage the 2010 Bangkok Chefs Charity Gala Dinner and Auction on Thursday July 29, 2010 in the hotel’s Royal Ballroom. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, also for the second time, will graciously preside at the event. Part of the proceeds will go towards charities under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness, and the remaining to benefit underprivileged children at the border in Northeast Thailand.
The concept of this Charity Gala Dinner is to combine the skills of 19 top Executive Chefs from leading hotels in Thailand including Mandarin Oriental Bangkok’s own Celebrity Chef Norbert Kostner. Each menu item will feature two chefs working together. The nine-course dinner ranging from ‘Amuse Bouche’ to ‘Mignardaises’, created from the finest ingredients from the Royal Projects in Chiang Mai and the best international sources, will be a reflection of the quality, creativity and style of Bangkok’s foremost food and beverage professionals.
The specific support from participating hotels is the showcasing of the culinary skills of their executive chefs in preparing the gala dinner, as well as their participation in the Fund Raising Auction. Successful bidders will be presented with a formal dinner personally cooked by the chosen chefs in the kitchens of their private residence.
