Thailand has hundreds of superb courses, and each year sees new clubs and courses added to the list. The vast majority of courses are extremely well cared for and maintained, and many have an established reputation on the international tour curcuit, hosting some of the games most prestigious events. Set amidst beautiful mountains or alongside some of Thailand's spectacular coastline scenery a golfer will experience anywhere in the world, it's no surprise that Thailand is Asia's most popular golfing destination. The combination of quality courses and golf facilities, all year round golfing weather, relatively inexpensive green and accommodation costs and the renown Thai hospitality are just some of the reasons that Thailand maintains its golf ranking and appeal. Golf courses can be found in every region; nestling in mountain settings, others set by exotic white sandy beaches or idyllic waterfalls. Thailand’s golf courses, many of which are of international standard and designed by leading players and course designers, cater for all standards of players. On most courses it is obligatory to hire a club caddy and also use a golf cart, for which additional charges are made. Many courses are part of, or co-located with, a vacation resort which provides accommodation and facilities for playing and non playing family members and children.
